Project Summary
Replatforming of the configurators for plates and mold assemblies in the webshop
Meusburger has been operating a webshop with assistants and configurators that automate the ordering process for over 20 years. Today, more than 55% of offers and orders are processed through the webshop. In 2019, it was decided to gradually replace these in-house developments with a Spryker solution in partnership with a Spryker partner.
After completing the first phase, which involved creating the new UX and the shop/self-service replatforming, Antiloop was appointed as the second implementation partner in the fall of 2023 to gradually implement the complex configurators.

Increase in efficiency and risk minimization in delivery
Challenge
In order to reduce both project risks and time-to-market during the implementation phase, Meusburger opted for a second-source approach, bringing Antiloop on board as an additional development partner. Antiloop is responsible for the technical design and implementation of all configurators.
The complexity of the business logic, which spanned numerous Excel documents, also required close coordination between all parties involved. A CPQ system for precise calculations and an API platform for integrating the complex data structure had to be connected. The intensive coordination between Meusburger teams, Antiloop, and the previous service provider was essential to successfully implement the various requirements.
Solution
Antiloop not only brought its technical expertise to the development of the new configurators but also implemented its proven agile processes. These processes helped to increase the efficiency of the project and enabled quick adaptation to new requirements.
The new configurators were developed as a headless solution with Nuxt, integrated with the Glue API of Spryker and the CPQ system. The configurators were seamlessly integrated into the Spryker webshop, ensuring a smooth user experience and optimized order processing.
Technology
The redevelopment of the configurators by Antiloop includes a headless solution with Nuxt and the use of the Glue API. This combination enables complex configurations to be carried out easily and efficiently. The CPQ system ensures precise calculations, while Spryker guarantees the smooth import and updating of data. Business rules for configuration validation are used in the frontend, which significantly reduces the manual work for the internal team.

Results
Our team of 9 employees launched the first configurator online in just 4 months. Additional configurators were added in the following months. The new configurators offer Meusburger customers a variety of options for the custom design of plates for toolmaking. The ordering process is now significantly faster, and the automatic identification of standard products leads to a significant reduction in costs. Customers benefit from an efficient, user-friendly system that enables them to place precise and custom orders.
