Project summary

Fluidify - the hose experts

Antiloop designed and implemented a hydraulic hose configurator, allowing pre-assembled and tested hydraulic hoses to be ordered online. Our primary goal was to provide a reliable solution and integrate it into the IT infrastructure of the parent company.

Fluidify is a company builder project of the Haberkorn Group based in Austria. It is a vertical that sells a subset of the Haberkorn product range (industrial hoses) through an online shop.

Challenge

Data import, attribute mapping, configuration process

The initial challenge was to define the steps required to configure a hydraulic hose. Additionally, the existing data offered almost no possibilities to link hoses with fittings or sleeves. Special rules, such as fittings and sleeves always needing to be from the same manufacturer or materials needing to be compatible, had to be considered. Furthermore, the existing importer infrastructure needed to be replaced, as it was unable to provide timely data updates.

Solution

Current and relevant data, thoughtful UX

To ensure optimal user guidance, a process for selecting the individual components of a hose was developed alongside the data strategy. Together with the specialist departments, the individual steps of the configuration process were defined. It was then determined which conditions must be met to show which fitting matches which hose and thus present it as an option to the user. Ultimately, the configured product must be able to be added to the shopping cart – and in the case that assembly of the individual parts is desired, this order must actually be received in the workshop for manufacturing.

Results

Perfect CX and high-performance data import with Antiloop Springbok

The result is an interface built on the Mobile-First principle, guiding the user through the process. Data changes in the PIM are imported into Spryker within seconds thanks to Springbok, ensuring that the visitor is always presented with relevant options. The bill of materials is transmitted to the ERP via SOAP web service to ensure correct assembly and inspection in manufacturing.
